    Description

    Up for auction is a vintage folded stampless letter and cover combination that was mailed from and written at Taunton, Massachusetts and addressed to William Martin, Guilford, Vermont.  Cover has a straight line postmark.  Letter is written on reduced paper and has many tears, many of which have been long ago taped over.  Paper has damaged edges, and again, multiple tears, both edge and interior.Letter is dated November 28, 1828 and is from James Ellis.  .BECAUSE OF THE SEVERITY OF SOME OF THE TEARS, PAPER NEEDS TO BE HANDLED VERY CARFULLY TO PREVENT FURTHER DAMAGE!!!....
