  • Condition: These original Color Set of Ten (10) C8 Very Fine (VF) Photos all display strong, solid colors with perfect detail of the movie scenes on very clean backgrounds. The flaws that exist are moistly along the borders. There is tape residue on photos 3, 4, 5, 7,and 10 at the top and/or bottom borders with just a little encroachment of the tape residue into the image area by an inch or less on about 2 of the photos. On photo 4, there is missing paper (1/2") at the top right outer border. On photo 8 there is a small (1/4") vertical tear at the top border and a 1" faint whitish crease on the right side near the bottom. There are no pin holes, no soiling and no smudges. There is no loss of color. The photos have a high gloss. The main flaw - the tape residue - is generally not noticeable at a normal viewing distance. For fans of this great movie, the movie scenes depicted by the photos are some of the incredible creature scenes from the movie. Please review the photos carefully.

    The film was made in collaboration with stop-motion animation master
    Ray Harryhausen
    and is known for its various fantasy creatures, notably the iconic fight scene featuring seven skeleton warriors.
    The photos are Flat and measure 8" x 10" each.
    These unrestored photos are graded C8, Very Fine.
    Original photos, like original movie posters, are graded, from the top down, as C10 (Mint), C9 (Near Mint), C8 (Very Fine), C7 (Fine to Very Fine), C6 (Fine or Very Good), C5 (Good to Fine/Very Good), etc.  The clarity, color, and detail of the images of the photos are excellent. They are immediately ready for framing and display.  The tape residue which appears on several of the 10 photos is not overly obtrusive and is generally limited to the top and bottom borders, with only an inch or so of tape residue extending into the image area. Restoration could alleviate the tape residue issues, and if you are interested in these photos and would consider having them restored, just let us know.  We can either have them restored for you and add the cost to the price of the 10 photos, or we can refer you to one of the professional restoration companies that we use.
