One of our family members acquired this and many other collectible and memorabilia items at an estate sale in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.
Many of the items were Pennsylvania Game Commission related items.
Being one of our family members is a retired employee from the Pennsylvania Game Commission, we are able to confirm that the item we are listing for sale here is in fact an item related to the Pennsylvania Game Commission. Many of the items we will be selling are rarely sold or may not have ever been sold been sold on eBay.
The item we are selling in this eBay Listing is an original and not duplication, based on the statement in the previous paragraph.
Our family member has confirmed this item is an original Pennsylvania Game Commission Item.

The Pennsylvania Game Commission is the wildlife management agency in the State of Pennsylvania.
The Pennsylvania Game Commission makes use of many different, paper, fiberglass, plastic and metal informational signs on land under their care and maintenance.
They do so to inform the public of rules, regulations and general information. Throughout time some of the signs became obsolete or needed to be revised and updated.
As they did, the signs were discarded and fell into the hands of collectors.
This sign
is one such sign which was in use back when one of our family members started his employment with the Pennsylvania Game Commission back in the very early 1970’s.
That makes this now obsolete metal sign very old and highly collectible as an vintage item relating to the history of the Pennsylvania Game Commission and the sport of hunting in our state.
Owning it will provide you with a small piece of our heritage and hunting history.
This
50+ Year Old Metal Sign
features a red background with white lettering within a 1/8” white border edge.
The white lettering reads “
State Game Refuge Hunting Is Unlawful Pennsylvania Game Commission
”
Near the white 1/8” border at the top and bottom of the sign are 6 drilled holes.
Three at the top of the sign and three at the bottom of the sign.
These holes were used to attach this metal sign to a wooden backboard sign.
Short nails were used to do so.
Once attached to the wooden backer sign, the sign was used in the field being posted on a State Game Refuge.
The back of the sign is shiny grey in color with no paint or preservative on it.
This metal sign measures 12 ¼” by 8” and contains 3 different size / styles of lettering and 2 different colors.

It has been cleaned up to the best of our ability here at our place of business.
In doing so, we have noticed the sign does have some nicks, scratches, imperfections and areas where the paint has been chipped away or rubbed away from storage with other metal signs.
The sign is not in 100% perfect shape therefore
we are rating the condition as

.
For its age and being stored with other metal signs, the sign is in an amazing condition. We have tried to show this condition in the photographs we have included in our listing ad.

SHIPPING TERMS

The buyer shall pay shipping and handling charges as stated below.
To ship your item to you we first wrap the sign in commercial tissue paper to protect it.
After doing so, it will be placed into a protective cardboard sleeve.
After this the cardboard sleeve will either be wrapped using bubble wrap or the cardboard protective sleeve will be placed into a protective bubble wrap mailer and mailed to you.
Which packing method used will depend on the particular item you have won from us.
Uninsured first class shipping will be $ 4.99 within the United States Of America.
The shipping and handling charge will include the packing method described in the paragraph above and a shipping label produced using our business PayPal Account.
In doing so, it will include delivery confirmation along with barcode addressing.
When we ship the item you will receive an email notice, through our eBay Account, allowing you to track the shipment as it is delivered to you.
We feel barcode addressing expedites shipping therefore getting the item to you sooner.
International buyers
