. . . is a packet containing one (1) level tablespoon of

Natural Sea-Tumbled Glass (Sea Glass)

measuring from approximately a thirty-second of an inch (1/32") or less (VERY tiny pieces) to approximately an eighth of an inch (1/8").  Micro pieces of colored glass, naturally tumbled by ocean waves.
(For reference purposes, I counted a sample bag of this glass/sand mix; and, conservatively, the package contained more than 1,400 pieces of glass. So, by that statement alone, with each packet containing approximately 1,400 pieces of glass in a single tablespoon of the mix, that should be a good indication of just how small some of the pieces in each packet can be.)
As the story goes, there was a glass factory close to the beach; and, throughout the years since its demise, old glass from that factory was tumbled by the waves and deposited on that nearby beach.  As the photos show, each packet contains
White
and
Brown
and sometimes
Green
glass, ideal for fine, micro mosaics given the variety of colors and tiny size of the tumbled-glass pieces.  (I would guess the black pieces mixed in each lot are old sea-tumbled lava.)  Beautiful sparkling pieces of glass, tumbled by the ocean waves, that can be used as centers in seashell flowers or used to create backgrounds and borders and designs in Sailor's Valentines!  You can let your imagination go wild with crafting ideas for this glass in all your shell art projects and designs.
